AJAX

Asynchronous Javascript and XML describes a concept of exchanging data between server and client without the need to refresh a page. AJAX makes the web more dynamic and faster, leading it into a Web 2.0 age.

The Yahoo User Interface Library

The Yahoo Developer Network recently launched the Yahoo! User Interface (YUI).

The YUI Library is a set of utilities and controls, written in JavaScript, for building richly interactive web applications using techniques such as DOM scripting, DHTML and AJAX.

AJAX Examples such as
- form autocompletes,
- multiple-view web calendars,
- a dynamic event logging system,
- dialog and overlay frameworks,
- horizontal, vertical, dropdown and tree menus
are included.

The library is well documented and the supplied examples can easily be used for your own website.
